Banana

A yellow skin
Covering the person
I am deep within
Painting over the discolouring
Hiding from you
The pain I feel
Yet still leaving
A bruise or two
To prove that I am still real
Bruised, battered and rotten
I feel
As I hide behind
My peel
Scared that
One look at me
And you'll hate
What you see
But the time has come
For the skin to be peeled
And who really I am to be revealed
No more hiding
Defenceless in the open
Naked for all to see
It's time for me
To be Me

What a poem! deep and meaningful are the first things that come to mind! i can relate to this poem as i have experienced hiding my true self.
